American Hindus Against Defamation Launches Groundbreaking AI Initiative to Detect Hinduphobia

January 14, 2025

HinduPACT has launched a campaign to support Rep. Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination as the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). This online campaign allows U.S. residents to send emails to their Senators expressing their views and facilitates phone calls to their offices. Our previous similar campaigns have yielded tens of thousands of letters.

We urge all Americans to support Rep. Gabbard’s appointment by signing this letter.

HinduPACT has expressed strong support for Rep. Gabbard’s appointment as the Director of National Intelligence. Tulsi embodies the highest ideals of integrity, service, and patriotism. Throughout her distinguished career, she has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to serving the American people and upholding the principles of democracy and justice.

Tulsi is a patriotic American who has selflessly served her country as a combat veteran in the United States Armed Forces. Her dedication to this nation is unquestionable, and her record reflects her deep love and respect for the United States and its people. Furthermore, Tulsi has consistently shown an independent streak, prioritizing principles over partisanship. She is not beholden to special interest groups and boldly expresses her thoughts with clarity and conviction. Such integrity and independence deserve recognition, not condemnation.

It is deeply troubling, however, that Tulsi faces unwarranted opposition because of her Hindu faith. In recent years, there has been a noticeable trend of coordinated efforts to malign and delegitimize mainstream Hindu candidates. Similar Hinduphobic attacks have targeted other prominent American Hindu leaders who have stepped forward to serve the country. These campaigns rely on misinformation, exaggerated associations, and inflammatory rhetoric aimed at discrediting individuals solely because of their Hindu identity. These smear campaigns are un-American and not based on merit or policy; they stem from Hinduphobia or Hindu hate.

We strongly urge the Senate to recognize that these attacks represent religious discrimination and to take a stand against such bigotry. Supporting Tulsi Gabbard’s appointment is a commitment to fairness, religious freedom, and the core values that make America a beacon of democracy. Allowing religious prejudice to influence decisions regarding her would not only be unjust but would also set a troubling precedent for American Hindus community.
