HinduPACT Congratulates Kash Patel on His Confirmation as FBI Director
San Ramon, CA — HinduPACT, an organization dedicated to advocating for the interests of the American Hindu community, extends warm congratulations to Kash Patel on his confirmation as the new FBI Director. We wish him a successful tenure in keeping America safe and secure, guided by the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita.
HinduPACT remains confident that Director Patel’s leadership can address pressing challenges facing both the Hindu community and the nation at large. We respectfully submit the following requests:
Investigate Systemic Attacks on Hindu Temples and Vandalism of Gandhi Statues as Hate Crimes
The rise in vandalism targeting Hindu temples and Mahatma Gandhi statues should be treated as hate crimes and investigated with the highest priority. These incidents threaten not only places of worship and iconic monuments but also the ideals of tolerance and religious freedom that define our nation.
Address Illegal Human Trafficking
HinduPACT calls on the FBI to identify and dismantle illegal human trafficking networks that contribute to illegal immigration and impose tragic consequences on vulnerable individuals.
Establish Regular Dialogue with Hindu Leaders
We request that the FBI set up a formal mechanism to meet regularly with Hindu leaders to better understand the community’s perspective on Hinduphobia. Concerns such as the targeting of Hindus based on the sacred symbol of the Swastika, the so-called “Caste” bogey, and online anti-Hindu tropes and memes are manifestations of Hindu hatred. These warrant ongoing, respectful dialogue and education with the FBI so that they can be identified and countered before leading to further vandalism or violence.
Prioritize Stolen Ancient Hindu and Buddhist Artifacts
Tens of thousands of sacred ancient artifacts have been stolen from India, Nepal, Cambodia, and other Southeast Asian countries, often ending up in museums and private collections in the West. We urge the FBI Art Crime Team under Director Patel to intensify efforts to recover and repatriate these stolen sacred artifacts from Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Protecting cultural heritage is essential to honoring our shared history and religious freedom.
HinduPACT stands ready to collaborate with Director Patel and the FBI to ensure a more secure nation for people of all backgrounds. We look forward to meaningful engagement on these critical concerns, and we remain committed to working alongside law enforcement to uphold justice, civil liberties, and religious freedom.
