Teej Festival celebrated with Grandeur at Saket District Court

While Independence day celebrations are in full swing across the country , the festival of Teej was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur at Saket District Court where the Saket Bar Association organized a special program.

Teej traditionally celebrated during the month of Sawan and Bhado is particularly associated with women and is considered a festival symbolising marital happiness and devotion. The festival is also linked to the penance undertaking by Maata Parvati to attain Lord Shiva .

As in previous years, the Saket Bar Association organized the Teej festival at Saket District Court . The colourfull one day event witnessed the participation of women lawyers from various courts including Patiyala house , Tis Hazari , karkatdooma , Delhi high court and the Supreme Court.

During the program. five women advocates who emerged victorious in the 2026 Bar council of Delhi election

Adv . Sangeeta Sondhi , Yukti Rathi, Amrita Kaur Oberio, Anu Priya Yadav and Garima Bhardwaj were warmly welcomed and felicitated. Addressing the gathering Advocate Rajpal kasana ( President of. Saket Bar ) said that whatever shortcomings remained this time would be addressed through better performance in the future. He expressed happiness over the impressive performance of women advocates in the recent Bar council of Delhi elections, saying that they had achieved feat. Saket Bar Association General Secretary Advocate Anil Basoya said that the Bar Association has always been committed to standing shoulder to shoulder with women advocates. He congratulated the victorious candidates and described their achievements as historic .

As part of the ceremony

the victorious women advocates were honoured with bouquets and Shawls by Advocate Pooja Arora , Advocate Garima and Advocate Yamini Sharma .

Speaking on the occasion prominent Social Activist and Advocate Shan Jabeen Qazi encountered the Saket Bar Association team for organising the event in an exemplary manner . She said the primary objective of such programs was to spread the message of peace , love and brotherhood in society . Advocate Shan Jabeen Qazi further said that festivals belonging to different faiths and celebrated with equal Charm at the Saket Bar Association without any distinction of religioun or community. She mentioned celebrations such as Diwali , Holi,

Eid Milan , Christmas and Baisakhi , saying that such initiatives strengthen communal harmony and promote mutual respect .

A large number of lawyers and and guests attended the wonderful program. Musical and the traditional Mehndi ceremony added to the festive atmosphere while women advocates wearing beautiful traditional and festive attire . The guests also enjoyed a wide variety of delicious food and refreshment . In a special gesture all the women participants were presented green bangles and Purses as a gift .
